These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the services provided by the National Massage Therapy Alliance (NMTA), including our websites, memberships, directories, and related platforms.

By using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a licensed massage therapist or wellness professional (where applicable) to use our services. You are responsible for ensuring that all information submitted is accurate and current.

2. Use of Services

You agree to use NMTA platforms only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Impersonate another person or provide false information.

  • Use the directory or community spaces for harassment or spam.

  • Copy, reproduce, or sell our materials without permission.

3. Membership and Directory Listings

  • Submitting a directory listing or joining Muscle Club™ or any NMTA program constitutes agreement to pay recurring fees as stated at the time of enrollment.

  • All listings are subject to verification and may be edited or removed for inaccurate, inappropriate, or unethical content.

4. Payments and Cancellations

  • Fees are billed monthly or annually via Stripe unless otherwise specified.

  • You may cancel future billing anytime, but no refunds will be issued for past payments unless required by law.

5. Messaging Terms and Conditions

By providing your phone number and agreeing to receive texts, you consent to receive text messages from the National Massage Therapy Alliance, from 888-668-2208 regarding account notifications, customer care, delivery notifications, and marketing.

  • Consent is not a condition of purchase.

  • Message frequency varies. Message & data rates may apply.

  • You can reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time or HELP for assistance.

  • Mobile opt-in information is never shared with third parties.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on NMTA platforms—including text, visuals, worksheets, and training materials—is the intellectual property of NMTA or its contributors. You may not reproduce or distribute it without permission.

7. Disclaimers

NMTA does not guarantee client referrals, business results, or therapeutic outcomes. We are not responsible for actions taken by individual members or directory users. All users are expected to comply with professional licensing regulations in their respective states or countries.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate your access for violations of these Terms, unethical conduct, or harmful behavior in the community.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
